Assalamualaikum w.b.t
These are the format regards our microbiology practical exam that have been confirm with Dr.Shams..quite long but try to read it throughly to ease ur revision..
There'll be 10 spots :
(i) 3 spots - slides of microorganisms
(ii)7 spots (mixed) either : - empty media & culture media
-serological techniques: ( ELISA , complement fixation test(CFT),single radial immunodiffusion ONLY)
-antibiotic sensitivity test
*For the first 5 spots, there are 2 questions to be ask :
1) Identification of the spots/substance
2)Question based on the identification (1 question only)
*For the last 5 spots, there only one question ONLY.
1) Identification of the spots/substance
Duration : 1 and 1/2 minutes for each spots
*The questions are general & short direct questions
*The questions that'll be ask more or less like in the given revision paper (but try not too dependent on it)
Revision Paper
-please cancel out the cooked meat medium --> it will not be ask
-please cancel the question on ELISA regards the comment either the test is (+ve/-ve) ---> it also not to be ask
ELISA
-there'll be questions to complete out the diagram or drawing pictures regards of it methods for Ag-Ab reaction
Antibiotic sensitivity Test(the questions probably on):
-Definition of MIC & MBC
-Identification of tube of having the MIC
-Clinical significant of MIC & MBC
N/B : Dr.Shams said that there's NO need to know about the procedures of each test unless it is mentioned in the revision paper..
